We went to his two year check-up a couple of days later and his doctor said that the main thing she watches for at this age is verbal skills, which is definitely not a problem for him since the kid never stops talking. We found out he is in the 50th percentile for weight and the 75th percentile for height. Speaking of talking, he has said some pretty funny things over the past couple of months. Here are a few:
(Tim opened a box he got in the mail) "Oh my gosh!"
(He dropped one of his toys) "Oh beep!"
(We were playing catch and the ball hit him in the stomach) "Ouch, my baby belly."
(He knocked down all the pins in his new bowling game) "Amazing!"
"Mom, check it out!"
(Our babysitter taught him this one) "What does a panda bear say?" "Orange chicken!"
Me: "Man, I am hot. Are you hot?"
Josh: "Hmmm, Joshie's warm."
(Lucky was playing with her racquetball and it made a loud popping noise) Josh: "Uh oh, Lucky ripped her ball."
Me: "That was naughty."
Josh: "Joshie hit her?"
Me: "No, you can't hit Lucky."
Josh: "Mommy hit her?"
Me: "No, we don't hit Lucky. We're nice to Lucky." This prompted him to go over and give her a kiss.
In other Trottier family news, at my last appointment (35.5 weeks) we discovered #2 is currently breech. She has four weeks to turn her stubborn self around or I'm in for a C-section.
