Five Months

It is crazy to think that Joshua is five months old already. Some days it seems like time has flown by, but then other days I just think that we are all lucky we have survived this long.

It took me five long months to discover that Josh sleeps a million times better in our bed than his own, whether we are in it with him or not. In his bed he will take 45 minute naps, then wake up still tired but refusing to go back to sleep. In our bed he will take 3 hour naps, then wake up happy and smiling. He still sleeps in his own bed at night because we aren't willing to share the bed with him. I always thought our bed would be off-limits to the kids, but that's back when I thought having kids was all rainbows and butterflies.

Tim and I are really looking forward to the appointment Josh has with a G.I specialist at Primary Children's. Apparently they are in pretty high demand because I scheduled this appointment at the end of March. Coincidentally, I got called for jury duty that same week, so Tim is going to have to end class early that day to take Josh.

The medicine that our pediatrician gave us to try a month ago has worked wonders. I was telling someone that now he usually only cries when he is hungry or tired. It's like having a normal baby!

He really is a sweet little guy. I hope the appointment goes well, and maybe you won't be on the jury.

Those are some darling pictures. He has the biggest smile and always willing to show it off. What a darling boy!

I laughed so loud when you say back when you thought having kids was all rainbows and butterflies. I totally feel the same way. There are several things I thought very differently about before I had Peyton!! It's so fun to see that Peyton and Josh are going through something of the same things. I hope the appointment goes well.
