Wendover!

My best friend Jenna and I drove to Wendover Saturday afternoon to go to a Sara Evans concert. We were lucky to miss most of the snow that day so it was a safe and quick drive. We got there about 4 hours before the concert so we grabbed some lunch and did some Wendover exploring. That only took about 20 minutes since Wendover is not nearly as exciting as we told ourselves it was. We hung out in our hotel room and watched TV until it was time to get ready for the concert. Sara sang one of my favorite songs, "No Place That Far" so I was very excited about that. She also sang quite a few Christmas songs, which was unexpected as we didn't realize it was a Christmas concert. Despite my dislike for Christmas music, I still enjoyed it because it was live and it was Sara Evans. She mentioned how much she loves Christmas music, and that her favorite songs are the ones that center around the birth of Christ, which I thought was pretty awesome. After the concert we ate an overpriced dinner because that's all there is in Wendover, and then decided to get our gambling on. Normally Black Jack is my game, but Jenna taught me how to play Roulette, which is now my new favorite. I practiced amazing self-control because I only let myself use $20, which I doubled! Jenna walked away with an extra $13, so we both did pretty well. It started dumping snow around 10:00 that night, so we were really glad we'd already decided to get a hotel room when we were planning the trip 2 months ago. When we cleaned my car off the next morning we figured it had snowed about 5 inches through the night. The roads were surprisingly not too bad for all the snow, so we made it home in under 2 hours. Here are some pictures of the trip:
