The Animal Game

A little while ago Tim and I were laying in bed unable to sleep so I suggested we play the animal game. Tim didn't know how to play the animal game (weird, I know) so I had to explain it to him. I started first and gave him an easy one, like horse or something, so he could catch on. We each went a couple of times, which was long enough for me to realize how good he was. It was my turn again and I decided to give him a REALLY hard one. Here's how it went:
Tim: Is it a mammal?
Me: Yeah, I'm pretty sure it is.
Tim: Only pretty sure?
Me: Yep.
Tim: So it eats meat?
Me: No, it doesn't eat meat.
Tim: It's a mammal, but it doesn't eat meat?
Me: No, it eats acorns and nuts and such.
Silence for about 2 minutes....
Tim: This is a hard one.
Me: That's why I picked it.
Tim: Does it walk on 2 legs, or 4?
Me: Usually neither. Actually sometimes they walk on 2, I think.
Tim: Neither? What does that mean?
Me: I can't tell you, it will give it away.
Another 2-minute silence....
Tim: Are they tall?
Me: Very tall.
Tim: Like as tall as you?
Me: Much taller than me. The ones I saw were anyway.
Tim: So you've seen one up close?
Me: Yes, you have too.
Tim: Could we have touched it?
Me: No, I don't think they're very friendly.
Tim: I really have no idea what it is.
Me: Do you want me to tell you?
Tim: I guess so.
Me: A flamingo!
Tim: Are you being serious?
Apparently flamingoes are actually birds, eat fish, do NOT walk on one leg, and probably aren't nearly as tall as I thought they were. These are the things I learn when I play the animal game.

Keep the stories comin' Leese! I love them! You are so funny! I miss the IDI stories...you'll have to fill the void by posting them here!

Yes Leesa, your stories always make me laugh. Next time you play the animal game, pick a flying squirrel. Cory tricked me with that once and I definitely didn't guess it after 20 questions. You are nice to give more than yes or no answers, but I guess with your lack of information, it's a good thing you provide Tim with a few more "facts".
